Babasının kim olduğunu bilmeyen, annesi uyuşturucu müptelası, on üç kardeşin arasında kimsenin umursamadığı Afro Amerikan genç bir çocuğun hayatı sokaklarda geçmektedir. Okuma yazma bilmeyen, okulda son derece başarısız olan bu çocuk, zengin bir aile tarafından himaye edilmeye başlandığında hayatı değişecektir. Okulda futbola başlayan genç, sonunda kendi yeteneğini keşfetmiştir. Ve bir gün Ulusal Futbol liginin en çok aranan sporcularından biri olacaktır.
